Just had a delicious pint of Draper's Brew lager at the market - what a great beer !- got it at the stall selling mulled wine - it's a craft brewed beer with loads of flavour - Highly recommended

Hi Burnsy, I can't think of an equivalent off the top of my head. I figure your talking about the Christmas market outside Belfast City Hall, right? It may be that alcohol licencing laws for markets might be slightly different here. The Dublin Docklands has a couple of bars nearby though that might fit the bill (The Ely Wine Bar or the Harbourmaster Bar). It is also very close to the centre of Dublin too, so it would probably be your best bet I reckon.

It was great while they had the German stalls with all the delicacies and lots of Glühwein, however last year's locally run one was extremely lame with far too many stalls, most of which sold Made-in-China rubbish, and not nearly enough food & drink stalls. The biggest joke about it was the giant slide (in picture above)- always predictably empty because who in the world would send their child on a €5 slide in -2 degrees?! Really hope it's back to what it was this year, otherwise folks just make the trip abroad!

I go to this event with my family every year and was very disappointed to go for a wristband today to be told their is none left. Their was no mention of wristbands sold out this morning leaving people to travel out to the park to be told their was none. Very badly organised/advertised and their was a lot of very unhappy people today in the park complaining about their being no mention of limited wristbands. Very disappointing

its a great market and lovely atmosphere, hot chocolate etc.....feels very christmassy when this starts in Dublin.
